Savage Detours: The Life and Work of Ann Savage

is the first complete book dedicated to a remarkable woman who rose from dirt-poor roots in the rural South to the Hollywood limelight. The book includes Ann's biography and an in-depth filmography, covering all of Ann's film and television appearances with commentary, behind-the-scenes anecdotes (many provided by Ann herself), and rare photos.

The book, which was co-written by Ann's manager Kent Adamson, covers her entire film career, beginning with her appearance in the 1943 Columbia serial film One Dangerous Night and grandly finishing with her acclaimed performance in Guy Maddin's award-winning My Winnipeg (2008).
